Animal Weapons studies arms races in the animal kingdom through the lens of evolutionary biology. I'll pay $500 to the best book summary/review of Animal Weapons that translates the lessons learned from biological arms races to potential modern-day arms races.

Payout conditions: After September 15th, I’ll pay $500 to my favorite book review. Conditions: it has to get at least 35ish upvotes on LessWrong or the EA forum and 15 upvotes for the Alignment Forum. Who am I?

Details, resources, and advice: Animal Weapons studies arms races in the animal kingdom through the lens of evolutionary biology. Write a book summary/review of Animal Weapons and try to compare the similarities between biological arms races and technological ones.

Try to translate the lessons you learn into actionable items for the x-risk community. There are many ideas and mental models in this book that I think the x-risk community should know about. The more people are better informed about the general principles that lead to arms races, the more we can be prepared when it actually happens.
